living in harmony

Living in a place where you know the connection
And you recognise that it is true

We learn toning for many reasons. The essence of Toning is learning how to soften the tone to a point of such gentleness, that it starts to resonate inside the body, and starts to resonate within the softness, and then re emerge as a strong and pure and clear voice.

The tones that we start with will reflect any disharmony within our bodies, and so we learn how to engender harmony within, which leads to harmony without.

Every action that we do either contributes to, or takes away from, our path. Learning about sound within and without, helps us understand this. The words we say, and how we say them. We start to feel the effect of our words, and the intent behind our words, on others and surely on ourselves.

It takes time to “tune ourselves up”, and the essence of this path is stillness, and gentleness, in our breath, in our hearts, and in our lives, which will then have the possibility of reflecting a sense of self worth that is also at the core of our understanding and experience of harmony within and without. When we start to be ‘aware’ we will feel the dis-harmony within our selves and we will start to release the old constrictions in our body and eventually come to a place of balance and connection. For example when many people start to tone they really push the sound out, it is hard and unpleasant to listen to and feel. When the letting go of this push and trying and effort, and the soft, sweet sound that is then produced is first experienced, many people experience a sense of one-ness , connection and stillness that they have never felt before.

These people have experienced a potentially life-changing event. Their attention has been focused from the external to the internal. They have had a direct experience of what it is like to start to let go, to allow a little softness into their lives, and a feeling of harmony.

When done in a group, as this initial practice and teaching usually is, there is a sense of oneness. This is also profound, in that many of the manifestations of disharmony in the world are coming from a sense of separation. People in general feel separate and alone, and this results in abuse of self and others with drugs and alcohol and violence; and when a country feels isolated they will always respond by arming themselves to a greater extent.

So in connecting to a sense of gentleness within ourselves, practising living in self-love, and starting to re-create harmony within, we are truly doing the best anyone can do to bring the world into balance.

So we start to be attentive to ourselves, and more aware of harmony (or dis-harmony) within and without. We can now start the process of healing our selves and returning to a balanced life.
